Rubroamoena cfr amoena (Alder & Hancock, 1845)
Otranto (Lecce, Italy). Specie rara, al momento localizzata in quest'unica località 5-20m di profondità. Esemplari sempre piuttosto piccoli, raramente superano i 5 mm. Osservati nei mesi di Aprile, Giugno e Dicembre. La specie sembra decisamente differente dalla R. amoena atlantica e riteniamo che debba essere riesaminata confrontando geneticamente le due popolazioni. Rare species, currently localized in this single location 5-20m depth. Specimens always rather small, rarely exceeding 5 mm. Observed in the months of Apr-Jun and Dec. The species looks decidedly different from the Atlantic R. amoena and we believe it should be re-examined by genetically comparing the two populations |
