Specie tra le più comuni nel litorale salentino, che è possibile incontrare durante tutto l'anno. Predilige l'ambiente coralligeno, sciafilo spesso in associazione a diverse specie di Idrozoi. Frequentemente si incontra con Paraflabellina ischitana da cui è possibile distinguerla per via dei rinofori lisci. In P. ischitana sono annulati.
